This course will address the use of inkjet printers for color and black and white digital output.
Students will learn to test digital inkjet paper and ink combinations to optimize image and
printer settings.
Limited to 20 participants.
Course Objectives: After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
〮 Express an understanding of digital printing process using inkjet printers
〮 Describe the qualities of digital printing papers through experimentation techniques for different ink and paper combinations
〮 Demonstrate proficiency with Photoshop and Lightroom printing functions for color and
black and white digital prints.
〮 Diagnose and correct common printer issues

About Shawn Clark:
The first time Shawn Clark realized he could express his passion for photograph as a profession was while employed as an Executive Protection Agent to conduct surveillance of the local police department. Mr. Clark left the field of executive protection to earn a Bachelorís of Fine Arts specializing in Forensic Photography from Barry University. Subsequently, Mr. Clark's diverse college and employment experiences have given him the opportunity to photograph for catalogs, fashion designers, autopsies, evidence, research, and homicide scenes with the Miami Dade Medical Examiner. During late 2006, Mr. Clark started Synchronized Elegance Imaging, inc. to provide wedding, corporate, and event photography services and has provided services for The Computer History Museum, Habitat for Humanity, JW Marriot, and Miami Country Day School. Mr. Clark's images are included in the collections of the Computer History Museum, Intel, and Kodak, in addition to many private collections. Currently, he is a graduate student at the Academy of Art University and will complete his thesis, entitled, "Nights on Troubled Waters", during the spring of 2011. Mr. Clark resides in Miami, Florida and operates Scholastic Experience Imaging (formally Synchronized Elegance Imaging) with his fiancèe, Jenifer Day. |
